Jon was born in Houston, TX and raised in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Iowa. His father was a pastor for many years and then his parents went on to be evangelists in the Nazarene Church.

 

He has been a follower of Christ since he was 14. He met his wife Kim (Goodman) in college and has been married to her for 45 years. They have one adult son.

 

Jon was a bi-vocational pastor until January 2024.. He worked full-time as a Chemist with the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) and completed his Chemistry career as an Inspector General with the U.S. Army. 

 

His hobbies are Hunting, fishing, SCUBA diving, and joinery.
