Ernie Braue was born in the Bronx and raised in the small town of Crestwood in Westchester County, NY.  He does not remember a time when he did not believe that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior. 

 

Before attending FCC he was an active member of various Lutheran Churches serving congregations as Council member, Treasurer, and President. He attended Lutheran schools, Concordia Junior College and Valparaiso University, graduating with a BS degree in Chemistry. Ernie briefly served in the DC Air National Guard. He continued his education at the University of Virginia earning a PhD degree in physical organic chemistry.  Following graduation he served for 14 years as Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the Mont Alto Campus of the Pennsylvania State University.

 

Ernie and his wife, Catherine Rose, have been married for over 20 years.  Both retired from the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense after over 30 years of Federal service. They have five wonderful grandkids and enjoy many actives together including:  square dancing, kayaking, skiing, cycling, scuba, tennis and music.
